Planning budget
≈ €629(IDR 13,000,000 original)Rate snapshot 2026-08-26This route uses Java's rail spine as the backbone and adds exactly two volcanoes, which is as many pre-dawn starts as nine days can absorb. The budget shown is a mid-range figure for the nine days on the ground, excluding international flights, and it drops easily if you sleep in guesthouses and eat at warungs.
Book the Borobudur temple-structure ticket and the Bromo jeep ahead; everything else can be arranged a day or two in advance. Keep the final day loose, because the Ijen crater closes without warning when gas readings rise and you want that to cost you a lie-in rather than a flight.
