Cookie policy
Every cookie and storage key this site uses, what it does, how long it lives and how to change your mind.

1. What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use the word here for anything similar too: local storage keys and any script that reads or writes to your device. Under the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR, anything that is not strictly necessary for a service you asked for needs your prior consent.
2. Our position
Enjoy Asia Today is a static reading site. There are no accounts and no advertising network. No analytics or marketing script loads before you opt in — the banner blocks them at the source rather than merely hiding them. Declining costs you nothing: every page works identically.
3. Strictly necessary — always on
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| eat_currency | First-party cookie | Remembers the currency you chose so prices stay readable across pages. | 1 year |
| eat_consent_v1 | First-party cookie | Stores this cookie decision, so we do not ask again and can honour it. | 6 months |
| eat_saved_v1 | Local storage | Your saved shortlist. Stays on this device only and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. | Until you clear it |
4. Analytics — off until you allow it
Currently none. No measurement or analytics provider is installed at the date above. If we add one, it will appear in the table below and will only load once you grant the Analytics category.
No analytics cookies or similar technologies are currently installed.
5. Marketing — off until you allow it
We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels. This category covers attribution for commercial and affiliate links: a campaign identifier that lets a partner recognise that a booking started on this site.
If you follow a link to a partner such as Booking.com or Skyscanner, that partner sets its own cookies on its own domain, under its own policy. We cannot control or switch those off from here — use the partner's own cookie settings. Our commercial relationships are set out in our terms and conditions.
6. Third-party requests that are not cookies
Photography is delivered by Unsplash (images.unsplash.com). Loading an image reveals your IP address and user agent to them, as with any image on the web. Unsplash sets no cookie through this delivery. Typefaces are served from our own domain, so no font CDN sees your visit.
7. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the cookie settings button above or the link in the site footer. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting: one click, no explanation needed. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, which resets everything, including your currency and shortlist. Note that most browsers also offer a global "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal; since nothing non-essential runs without opt-in here, the effect is the same.
